ABOUT Kevin

Kevin Healy is a Salinas-based Certified Flight Instructor ASEL with a passion for aviation that took flight in 2020. After earning his Private Pilot certificate at Aerodynamic Aviation in Monterey, he continued building his skills and experience at NorthAero Aviation—progressing through his Instrument Rating and Commercial Certificate before completing his Multi-engine Rating at Specialized Aviation in Watsonville.

Kevin holds Commercial Pilot privileges in both single and multi-engine aircraft with an Instrument rating, along with Ground Instructor certificates at Basic, Advanced, and Instrument levels. He's logged over 540 flight hours across a variety of aircraft, including Cessna (172/182/206/414); Piper PA-28 Warrior; and Beechcraft Bonanza (BE33) and Baron (BE55/BE58) models.

Before pursuing aviation full-time, Kevin earned both his Bachelor's degree in Crop Science and Master’s degree in Agriculture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo—a background that gives him a methodical, science-based approach to flight instruction and an understanding of Central Coast agriculture and its aviation needs.
